Faith No More Concert
I’ve been waiting to see them since I injured my foot 1 hour before their concert at the Nova Rock Festival in Austria, two months ago.
iPhone 3GS
I’m using the new iPhone 3GS for a week now, and almost everything I hated about the iPhone OS 1 and 2 is gone, and the speed of this thing is amazing, I didn’t notice any lag since I got it.
Having said that, it has a few more steps to go until it will replace the Blackberry Bold as my main phone/email device.
Almost perfect as it is, it’s the first phone I like so much that it made me cary around two devices. For a full week!
User Interface Perfection
Notice the perfectly aligned buttons and input boxes, the carefully selected interface colors for each section of the window, the sheer attention to detail paid to the application icon. Just looking at this makes me cringe.
You have to fill it in and it produces a VAT return form with a bar code. When it’s saved, it’s saved as text file, god knows where. The fun starts when you try to print – if you have multiple printers it will only send the page to the default printer, no way to change it.
These “programmers” are paid from my taxes to produce probably the worst piece of crap I’ve seen in my life. Even by Windows standards this is shit.

Quite weird to go back to C programming after more than 12 years. This is going to be a rough ride, but so far I like it.
[update] I quite enjoy this, probably the best 2 hours spent on my Mac in a very long time.
