Since yesterday I got many emails that brought to my attention that Mr. Ioan Mang, who was named for the Romanian education minister, plagiated a manuscript of mine, as well as papers of other people.

Indeed this is a case of plagirism, where the paper “SQUARE ATTACK AGAINST REDUCED VARIANTS OF RIJNDAEL” by IOAN MANG is an exact copy (“copy-paste”) of the manuscript “Cryptanalysis of Reduced Variants of Rijndael” by myself and Nathan Keller.

But I would like to add that this plagiarism is not the only issue here that shows on the personality of Ioan Mang. You usually expect that a person that makes plagiarism will read the plagiarized paper first. However, it is clear that Ioan Mang never read not tried to understand the claims in the manuscript “Cryptanalysis of Reduced Variants of Rijndael”. He could not even develop the same results on his own, because all the content of the manuscript “Cryptanalysis of Reduced Variants of Rijndael” is wrong. The fact that that manuscript appears on the Internet is only due to a mistake of a colleague that forwarded it without the consent of the authors, while already knowing of the mistake in it. Actually, I believe that Ioan Mang is the first person ever that did not immediately identify the mistake in the plagiarized manuscript.

Și probabil ca vor rămîne acolo chiar și după ce primarul Nicușor Dan va termina de salvat Bucureștiul. Strategia Salvați Vama Veche și Roșia Montana funcționeaza perfect.

Dacă nu ar fi fost Săptămâna Mare, aş fi spus că până la sfârşitul acestei săptămâni, cu siguranţă. Închipuiţi-vă că apare un impas de negociere în Joia Mare, în Vinerea Mare. Noi suntem creştini, pesediştii nu mai vorbesc. Este foarte posibil ca decizia finală să fie luată în Săptămâna luminată, adică cea de după Paşti, în care cu suflet curat ne vom întâlni şi vă vom aduce la cunoştinţă rezultatul dragostei noastre.

Refreshingly honest. I love the Mac version of Sparrow. The iOS app is a step in the right direction, but the lack of push notifications is a deal breaker for me.

De altfel, constructia locuintelor din chirpici este pe linia conjuncturii actuale: facem si economie de combustibil, energie, pentru ca nu mai este nevoie sa facem caramida, confectionarea chirpicilor este mai simpla, mai economicoasa, pot fi realizati prin folosirea caldurii solare.

Eu propun sa-l obligam sa traiasca intr-o casa de chirpici in loc de vila din Primaverii. Daca se darima pe el nu mai e nevoie de mormint, o gramada de balegar uscat este de ajuns pentru o jigodie comunista.

In some ways, I feel like I’m reviewing a webOS device again (but with much, much nicer hardware). There are all these wonderful ideas at play, but it’s impossible to look past the nagging bugs and missing features.

Tovarasul Nastase tocmai a mai adaugat trei ani la cei doi pe care deja i-a obtinut in dosarul “Trofeul Calitatii”. Din pacate, cele doua condamnari nu sint definitive, si nici nu sint cu executare. Dar totul are un inceput, si in mod cert este un semnal puternic pentru toti indivizii din politica.
